Downtempo & Electronica
Somewhere between the last light of the evening and the early hours of the morning, Downtempo & Electronica finds its natural home. A collection of off-centre rhythms, hazy electronics, analogue warmth and slow-burning grooves that favour atmosphere over urgency.
Expect warped synths, dusty percussion, deep rolling basslines and melodies that drift in and out of focus. There's a little grit around the edges, a touch of nostalgia, and plenty of space for the music to breathe. Moving between leftfield electronica, understated downtempo and more experimental electronic sounds, the playlist explores the quieter, more intriguing corners of electronic music.
Made for empty city streets, long train journeys, late-night creativity and those hours when there's nowhere in particular you need to be. It's music that doesn't demand your attention but has a habit of drawing you in.
No big drops, no unnecessary drama. Just interesting sounds, unexpected details and rhythms that take their time.
Follow Downtempo & Electronica for a regularly refreshed selection of electronic music that moves at its own pace.
